House of 87 is a homegrown brand which started in the summer months of 2023, with the idea of working on old school fabrics and garments.
House of 87 started as a throwback to the good old times of sartorial elegance, when designs & materials were made to last generations. Our pieces, like fine wine or good scotch, only get better with age.
But it's more than just that. Our label stands for democratizing slow fashion. Each piece comes as a hint of a warm hug of a lovingly handed down family heirloom, a timeless piece, made now for you. It's fashion, freed.

Does each of our pieces have intricate, careful detailing? Yes. Is each piece carefully handcrafted by artisans with years of experience, utilising only the best materials and techniques our industry offers? Also yes. But that's just the manufacturing details, what sets them apart is the amount of thought, care and love that goes into them.
So go on, add a House of 87 piece to your wardrobe for that warm Sunday brunch with loved ones, or a family function that requires you to be fashionable and comfortable. And we promise you'll keep coming back for more.
SURABHI VOHRA - FOUNDER
Growing up, Surabhi was always fond of the casual and personalised style of ethnic wear worn by her mom, grandmothers and aunts - the lived-in experience of wearing handcrafted clothes. After working in the craft and luxury retail sector of the Indian fashion industry for over a decade, Surabhi decided to start House of 87 as an experiment to relook at old school styling of ethnic wear and bring a modern twist to them. Her fondness for working with the artisans of embroidery and printing , along with knowledge of patterns and silhouettes are what led her to establish HOUSE OF 87 as a contemporary vintage apparel brand. Each product is made with the idea that it can be styled and worn with different wardrobe staples found in our closets.
